As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the 225 pugs whose lives were transformed this year thanks to supporters like you.
From seniors needing extensive medical care to abandoned, neglected, and special needs pugs who arrive with urgent needs, your generosity makes every rescue possible.
Year-end gifts are especially impactful - they allow us to enter the new year prepared for the unexpected, ready to handle emergency intakes and able to say “yes” when a pug needs us most.
Whether you give a one-time gift, become a monthly donor, or dedicate a donation in honor of a loved one, your support ensures we can continue our mission into the new year with strength and heart.
The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year for our rescue. While many families are traveling or spending time with loved ones, our all-volunteer team is still working hard behind the scenes to help every pug who needs us.
Adoption Applications: We are still accepting applications; however, due to higher intake requests and limited volunteer availability, application processing will take longer than normal and most application will note be processed until January. Our volunteers are juggling their own holiday schedules, so we truly appreciate your patience.
Surrenders: Because intake requests rise sharply at the end of the year, it may take 1–2 weeks for us to coordinate an appropriate foster home. We will contact your for more information with 24-48 hours, but actual intact may take longer. Our goal is to make sure every pug gets the proper care, veterinary attention, and placement they deserve—so the more time you give us to plan, the better we can help. If your situation is not an emergency, we kindly ask you to consider waiting until after the holidays to surrender.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Our volunteers work tirelessly year round so they deserve to enjoy some time with their own families and pets.
Because of you, our Forever Care foster pugs have full stockings and felt extra loved this holiday season.
Your generosity brought warm beds, fun toys, special treats, and lasting comfort to pugs who will always call our rescue home.
We are endlessly grateful to every single person who stepped up to be a Secret Santa:

You truly made the season brighter for some very deserving pugs - and for their foster homes too!

Would you like to open your home and heart to a pug? The pugs we rescue vary from young and healthy to senior with ongoing health issues, but they all have one thing in common: They are looking for loving, stable homes to call their own.

We rely on the support of caring and committed foster homes to help pugs in need. All of our pugs stay with foster families until they find their forever home. We provide the medical care - you provide the shelter and love.

Your support helps us save pugs in need. In 2024, we spent nearly $300,000 on medical care alone. We rely entirely on donations, and 100% goes directly to medical bills, food, supplies, and rescuing dogs from unsafe situations.

If you own or know of a pug that needs rescue in Florida or Georgia, please complete the online Surrender Form and submit a photo. One of our volunteers will contact you to discuss the situation and help the pug.
We’re thrilled to announce that we are one of 119 grant recipients awarded funding from the $1.57 million distributed by The Grey Muzzle Organization to support lifesaving efforts for senior dogs.
This critical funding supports animal shelters and rescues across the USA, France, and Nepal in developing senior-focused programs—including medical and dental care, surrender prevention, hospice care, and adoption incentives. This Grey Muzzle Grant will allow us to help senior pugs in our care.
A huge thank you to Grey Muzzle and their generous supporters for making this possible and for believing in a time where every senior dog finds safety, love, and a soft landing.
